When to choose digital printing over offset printing
- You require very quick turnaround - 1 to 2 days
- You require a small quantity of your item - as few as 25 up to a few hundred or more
- Your design is not so difficult that digital printing quality will be adequate
The primary differences between digital printing and offset printing
- Offset printing offers the highest overall print quality - better colour reproduction, more stable colour throughout print run
- Digital printing is much more cost efficient for very small print runs (usually under 500 but dependent on product type)
- Offset printing can print on a wider range of paper stocks than digital printing- thicker papers, textured papers
- Digital printed items can generaly be turned around quicker
