Preparing files for Presentation Folders is a little bit different than preparing
files for brochures, posters and cards. When setting up files, you must take
into consideration which panels (eg. outside front and back covers, inside
front and back covers) are being printed and whether or not the pockets are
being printed.
** In all cases, please be sure your basic file setup follows our General
Guidelines.
File Setup Scenarios:
Supply file including all folder elements. The
file would have the outside front cover, outside back cover and pocket elements
in position. If there is a second side, then a second file would have the inside
front cover and inside back cover elements in position. Such a file would have
dimensions of 18" wide (9" front cover + 9" back cover) and 15"
high (12" front and back cover + 3" pocket").
Supply separate files for the different parts of the
folder. For each part of the folder that has printing, you would supply
a separate file set up for that specific size of element. For example, for the
outside front cover you would supply with all elements positioned correctly on
9"x12". If there is printing on the outside back cover then you would
do the same as mentioned for the outside front cover. If there is printing on
the pocket, you would supply a separate file with the pocket elements positioned
correctly on 9" x 3.5".
** In both of the above cases, if your presentation folder
bleeds, then you must be sure to include
bleeds in your files.
